"Live by grace, through faith."
Meet Olivia — a North Dakota native now living in sunny Arizona. Throughout our time together, I'll be your photographer, hype woman, stylist, and friend all in one. Let's get to know each other!
The Coronado House in Phoenix Arizona, is an amazing spot for any photographer looking to capture something special! The place itself has this cool vibe, with its unique architecture and open spaces that give you so many options and angles for shooting! It’s got this mix of vintage charm and a modern vibe that just makes for great backdrops. I’m always on the lookout for venues that offer something a little out of the ordinary, and the Coronado House definitely delivers on that front.
The styled shoot we organized there this past spring revolved around a bride and groom. This gave us the chance to play with both traditional wedding elements and some of our own creative twists! The bride’s look included a stunning dress with intricate design, while the groom wore a sleek suit that complemented the whole vibe perfectly! These scenes not only helped tell a story but also highlighted the versatility of the venue. Everyone involved, from the models to the assistants themselves, really brought their A-game, making the shoot come alive in a way that was both engaging and inspirational!!
Doing styled shoots like this one at Coronado House is one of my favorite things about being a photographer. It’s not just about capturing what you see; it’s about creating a narrative, infusing it with your own vision, and collaborating with people who have the same creative spark! It’s kind of a creative playground, where I can let my imagination run wild and see what works and what doesn’t.
What I really love about styled shoots is that they’re also a collaborative effort. It’s not just me behind the lens; it’s a team of people who are equally passionate about what they’re doing. The venue coordinator, the stationary artist, the models, and even the person who brought the props. Everyone’s invested in making something unique and beautiful. This shoot at Coronado House was no different! Each person brought their own expertise and flair, contributing to the overall look!!
Being in Phoenix, specifically at a venue like the Coronado House, adds another layer to these styled shoots. The location itself provides a fresh palette to work with. It’s always nice to be able to be creative and think outside the box!

“Olivia made it so easy for us from the beginning, at our engagement session, all the way through the wedding. We felt comfortable with her which made it easy to communicate what we wanted and didn’t want for our wedding photos. She has great ideas and is truly excited about working with you and any vendors she has the chance to work with on your special day. Olivia is easy to reach and got our photos back to us within a timely manner! We are so happy with our engagement/wedding photos and cannot wait to continue to look at them for years to come.”

Simon + Morgan are a special couple to me. They met at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota when they had a class together and were college sweethearts! They have a sweet pup named Banks, who I have had the honor of meeting on a few occasions! I have been able to photograph Simon’s proposal to […]
