Ty and Emily’s Fargo wedding at The Synclaire Events Venue was such a special one for me to photograph. I actually got married at The Synclaire in May, so coming back to document another couple’s wedding here always means a little extra to me. It’s easily one of my favorite wedding venues in Downtown Fargo!

The Synclaire is one of those spaces that really speaks for itself. There’s already so much character that you don’t need to completely transform it to make it beautiful. Instead, the florals, tablescapes, stationery, and personal details you bring in get to build on what’s already there.

Ty and Emily did exactly that. Their wedding was full of beautiful details that came to life so naturally in the space. Everything felt intentional without feeling overdone, which is one of my favorite things about photographing weddings here.

I photographed their day on both film and digital, which felt especially fitting for The Sinclair. Digital allowed me to document everything as it unfolded. Film brought in that softness, texture, and nostalgia that I love so much. Together, the two created a gallery that feels complete while still having those unexpected film frames woven throughout.

I love photographing the beautiful things you spent months choosing, but I also want your gallery to hold everything you couldn’t plan. The hugs, reactions, movement, people you love, and little moments happening in between are just as important.

Why I Love The Synclaire as a Fargo Wedding Photographer

There are plenty of beautiful wedding venues, but photographing one that holds personal memories for me will always be different. I know what it feels like to be the bride at The Synclaire, and now I also get to experience it from behind the camera.

I love seeing how every couple makes the venue their own. You can bring in your own design and personality without fighting against the space. The venue becomes the foundation, and then all of your details get to come alive around it.

Ty and Emily’s wedding was such a beautiful reminder of that. Between the setting, their thoughtful details, and the mix of film and digital photographs, their gallery feels timeless while still being completely theirs.
