A Fargo micro wedding can still include every part of a wedding celebration that matters to you. Lindsey and Gabe’s wedding was such a good example. They kept their ceremony intimate and celebrated at some of Fargo’s most beautiful locations. Then, they extended the celebration into a second day with more friends and family at a reception at the Fargo Country Club.

What Can a Fargo Micro Wedding Look Like?

Lindsey and Gabe started their wedding day getting ready at the Jasper Hotel in downtown Fargo. I love when couples choose a getting-ready location that puts them right in the middle of the city. The Jasper kept the beginning of their day simple and gave us plenty of opportunities for downtown photos.

From there, they headed to the Cathedral of St. Mary for their ceremony. There’s something really special about pairing a smaller guest count with such a timeless setting. Lindsey and Gabe could focus on getting married with their closest people there to witness it.

Instead of trying to fit every part of their celebration into one day, they chose to continue celebrating the next day with more loved ones. Everyone gathered at the Fargo Country Club for their reception.

I love this idea for a micro wedding because it gives each part of the celebration room to breathe. Their wedding day felt intimate and focused on their faith and their marriage. The following day gave them time to gather, eat, and celebrate with everyone they love!

A smaller wedding doesn’t have to mean a smaller experience. You can still wear the dress, get ready somewhere beautiful, have a meaningful ceremony, and take portraits around the city. You can still throw a reception with all your favorite people, too.

You simply get to decide what those pieces look like and when they happen.

That’s one of my favorite things about Lindsey and Gabe’s wedding. They didn’t squeeze everything into a traditional wedding-day timeline just because that’s how it’s usually done. Instead, they let their celebration unfold across two days. It gave them more time to enjoy each part.
